So much of reality is subjective—we may see something, but our experience of it is totally created in our thoughts.

Let me offer an example:

My friend lost his job. He had been working for the company for 3.5 years and did not love his work. He has a family of 6, a partner who doesn’t earn much money for the household, and no prospects in front of him.

If you were in this scenario, might you be worried?

Well, he was not. He even decided to take a month to travel the world and consider his next move. Even though he felt a pang of insult for being fired, he was more excited about finding something he’d enjoy.

The objective reality, or the camera: no job and no income.

The subjective reality, or the projector: an incredible opportunity for greater life satisfaction.

And we always have the power to create our own reality. Always!

“Forces beyond your control can take away everything you possess except one thing, your freedom to choose how you will respond to the situation.” —Victor Frankl

So if you want to stop getting frustrated by the same thing over and over again, you can!

I’d love to help ❤️
